DIY upcycling Advent wreath

Christmas time means cozy time and therefore you need some right decoration at home, which really brings you into the Christmas spirit.
It does not have to sparkle and bling, because even decorations made of natural and sustainable materials have their very special charm.
Today we are making an Advent wreath with you, for which it does not need much things.

Advent wreath DIY:

  • A wreath of straw or wood
    an old,
  • worn cotton shirt in matching colors
  • some fir, eucalyptus and some berry stalks
  • Pine cones etc. for decoration

Make your sustainable and plastic-free

Step one:
For our wreath we took an old, worn cotton shirt and cut this into many 4cm x 10cm long strips.
Then you knot these around your wreath, so that it is pretty “fluffy”. That does not have to be neat. The wilder the more beautiful.

Step two:
Now we take a bit of green, such as small fir branches, eucalyptus and berry branches. You simply put these under the fabric ribbons.

Step 3:
Now it only takes a few pine cones, some eucalyptus, dried orange slices and pieces of wood around it et voilá: your sustainable and guaranteed plastic-free Christmas wreath is ready to enjoy.

In a couple days there is already the next post with a lot of added value and a surprise for you. Do not miss it!
